Core Team

Great Power Solutions is a Smart Energy Consultant and Solar Buyers Agent. Our aim is to provide commercial customers including Government and Not for Profit organisations with the necessary information to make informed decisions about the opportunities to save money by minimizing their power costs.

Our team brings a range of skills to the organisation and all have a passion to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

Geoff Goodrich is the Director and has been working in Smart Energy space for 6 years. He has been operating and managing businesses in the NT since 1991 and has had extensive involvement in the community. He has the founder of Territory Proud Inc and recently handed over the chair to become Ambassador. Geoff is also the co founder and driving force of SmartEnergy NT a community organisation with a mission to promote Smart Energy.

Grant Lindsay is the General Manager and has held executive management positions in a number of NT organisations since leaving the Army in 1999, responsible for corporate services and the executive management of a number of infrastructure projects. He has had an interest in the smart energy space since 2012 with the implementation of the National Schools Solar Program and is very aware of how business can benefit from the implementation of smart energy practices and sustainable energy projects. Grant is also involved with a number of for-purpose, not for profit organisations and well understands the benefits of a smart energy approach for this sector.

Dr Tim Walsh is a new arrival in the NT and moved here because he sees the opportunity for solar in the NT. He has Batchelor of Science and a PhD in Photovoltaics Engineering from UNSW. He has extensive experience in R&D, product development, project management in China, Singapore and Indonesia including microgrid and off-grid systems. The positions he has held include;

Martin Bruekers is an Energy Efficiency Specialist who has work in Industry and in the NTG. Martin had a major role in departmental energy reduction strategy, mostly auditing and scoping works.

Martin was the on-site co-ordination/project management of building element thermal flow research.
He represented the NT for AIRAH committee.
He has experience in design, install, calibrate, document and commission various controls and automation applications. He is also able to custom design of microcontroller PCB’s for specialty applications including data collection, interfacing of incompatible systems, piggy-back monitoring.
he has a long term involvement in energy demand auditing and management

Specialties: Research/analysis in the tropical built environment including thermal comfort, adaptation, alternative comfort strategies, living (biological) environment modification systems.
R&D in new technologies and non-standard applications.
Particular interest in building integrated systems (smart buildings).

SolarCity NT is owned and operated by Neill Carberry who has extensive experience in the electrical, air conditioning and solar industry.

In Jan 2015 Neill opened NC Electrical and Air-Conditioning (NCE). services. In 2017 Neill opened SolarCity NT to specialise in supply and installation of Solar energy systems and maintenance services. Since then Neill has grown the companies to 13 employees.

Solar City NT has been providing the Northern Territory with high-quality, professional solar energy panels installations for over 3 years. Projects have ranged from large commercial contracts to residential work.

The business significantly advanced when SolarCity was contracted for what was, at the time, the biggest solar installation in Australia. A company in Victoria recognised the professionalism of our NT business and engaged the team on one of their most challenging, yet rewarding jobs. The experience gained through working on this extensive project has proven invaluable.

SolarCity NT is now one of the most experienced local Solar Energy providers in the Northern Territory. Recent projects include a 100 kWh installation for Palmerston Library and 250 kWh at Adina Apartment Hotel in Darwin Waterfront. SolarCity has also designed and constructed “Solaris” solar-powered, on or off-grid, modular units for rural and remote locations requiring stand-alone housing or office space.

Ewan Parsons – Innovator and Experience Smart Energy Engineer

Ewan Parsons is a controls system innovator with post-graduate qualifications in Electronics and Energy systems. With a number of communication and automation patents to his name, Ewan is applying all his skills to providing technology for customers to automatically respond to electrical constraints caused by the rapid growth of air-conditioners.

Ewan has a passion for Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), Two-way Electric Vehicles, Hydrogen, and many other innovative ideas. He started his career as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Stokes Hill Power Station in the 70’s.

Peter is Director of Navitus Solar and specialises in complex solar solutions. With 25 years experience in the telecommunications, electrical and defence industry, Peter is passionate about his work in the Solar PV and Battery Storage sector. He has recently represented the Energy Storage Council (ESC) on the Standards Australia committee developing the new Battery Storage Standard.

Leo Rojas – Solar Energy Electronics Engineer – Product Developer

Leo Rojas is an electronics and software developer engineer with a passion for computer science, solar engineering and embedded systems technology.

Leo has more than 10 years working in the electronics and software design and manufacture and has been working for the las 8 years in the research and development of zero export devices, electrical load control and network protection relays.
